Who do we represent? When people hear the name "Communications Workers of America", they think of telephone workers. But ours is actually a diversified union and a large number of CWA locals represent people in public sector jobs. Like ours.

CWA Local 1032 represents about 6,000 workers in a variety of professions and fields in several New Jersey State Departments, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, several New Jersey towns and counties as well as several private sector work sites.

Our members work in these New Jersey government agencies.

We're part of the national Communications Workers of America (one of the country's largest unions) as well as a network of CWA locals representing New Jersey's public sector workers. We are also part of the Labor Councils of Mercer, Essex, Hudson, and Burlington counties, which coordinate AFL-CIO activities in those areas as well as the New York City Central Labor Council.

While these affiliations are important to us, we are especially proud of our local's record of service to and support of its members. And we list some of those programs and benefits on our benefits page.
